Boy: “I’m a superhero. Guess my name?”
Girl: “Superman? Ironman?”
Boy: “Nope, Yourman.”
We all want to be heard.
You want what you have to say to be understood. Considered. Important.
You, at times, will do anything to be heard. Raise your voice. Get a more intimidating stance. Cut people off.
Anything to “win”…I mean… to be heard.
You are trying to listen to this person but honestly, you are working out in your head what you have to say next.
“What do you mean I’m not listening? I can clearly hear that you are not understanding what I am saying!”
Dialogue consists out of both listening and talking.
Having a monologue is something that evil villains do in movies…it’s NOT a dialogue.
